Future Fashion Collectibles

Certain fashions have always stood the test of time and turned into a sport for the avid collector hunting down those rare vintage pieces. Such as the beautiful iconic prints of  Emilio Pucci which remain valuable to this day. So what would be considered valuable & collector worthy for future generations? For some collectors it might be a question of monetary value, how much of a return for an investment in an item? For others it's sheer joy in owning a piece of a beloved designer or collection. Perhaps even for the nostalgia of time passed... Some current choices from members in the fashion field such as Didier Ludot, Cameron Silver & Joseph Quartana which should be considered as criteria for future vintage pieces are artisan crafted silk scarves, Chanel classic black dress, anything Alexander McQueen (primarily his 2010 collection), Miu Miu pieces, Gareth Pugh mothership bag (flipside:any futuristic black bag), printed garments that are like works of contemporary art,  accessories of unique designs and iconic fashion staples, fine quality wool sweaters, jewelry that looks like works of art (3-D pieces), and unusual & extravagant detailing that stands out on clothing. I know I'll never give up my vintage Fendi purse which was my first designer bag ever. Have any collectibles already? What iconic fashion piece would you  love to collect? Stay beautiful! XOXO
