A rare lunar eclipse, the longest in ten years, lasting nearly two hours, occurred June 15, 2011. For those watching, the full lunar eclipse that could only be seen in Israel, and parts of the Middle East, Africa, Central Asia and Australia, the moon appeared a red, coppery brown color.
What is even more rare is that four consecutive red or blood moons will be occurring in the very near future in 2014 and 2015 on the Feast Days of the Lord. Leviticus 23:2, 4, 37, 44.
The Lord is giving His people on earth a preview of the dark days that lie just ahead of us as United States and EU representatives meet with Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu, pushing for the division of Jerusalem and a land for peace deal promoted by Obama back to the 1967 armistice lines.
A red moon is significant in the Holy Scriptures and is related to the last days prophecy just prior to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The beloved Apostle Peter reminds us in his sermon in Acts 2:19-20 of the written Word from Joel the prophet in Joel 2:28-32 that the moon will turn blood red just before the great day and the coming of our Lord.
This is an awesome time to be watching the signs in the heavens that Jesus spoke in Matthew 24:29, Revelation 6:12-13, just before His Coming to gather his people unto Himself in the air. Maranatha!
And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. Luke 21:28
