Celebrity Spin

There's a crazy thing about owning a boutique in Los Angeles that is pretty unusual for stores the rest of the world over.

That craziness is called "celebrities."

There are more than a handful of boutiques in L.A. that have made their name by publicizing their celebrity clientele. In fact, several stores have become such paparazzi magnets that when certain people shop there, you can be fairly certain that it's more for the publicity that will be generated (Star! OK! Perez Hilton!) than the star's need to find a new belt or bag or pair of pajamas. And that's cool. The store and the celebrity get their exposure, and everyone's happy.

But what about a well-known person who just wants to buy something in peace? Should every gift purchase or fall wardrobe booster be reported to the tabloids and internet gossip sites?

I think not. Sure, famous people shop at Juvie. But unless a celebrity tells me that I should take their picture and send it to Us Weekly (not gonna happen), we don't spill.

HOWEVER...

There are times when celebrities and their cute kids are photographed wearing/using Juvie stuff. So, on occasion you might see pictures on our web store of famous folks who just happen to be modeling for us. 'Cause that's kind of fun, don't you think?
