Uniform Blues (and Whites and Greys)

School uniforms...you love the ease, they hate the...uniformity.

At our house we don't find uniforms to be much of a time or money saver. The girl changes out of the thing as soon as she gets home, which means two piles of dirty laundry at the end of the day instead of one. And it's not as if we're buying uniforms instead of street clothes; we're buying both.

Then there's the, "I hate uniforms," fight. Like I thought them up in the first place. And no, you can't create your own religion that dictates jeans and t-shirts as required pious wear.

If you've got a uniform rebel on your hands, Juvie's got an easy solution. Why not personalize that polo and those khakis with accessories and cool school gear?

Jewelry, scarves, cute socks or leggings can go a long way toward standing out, if that's your kid's thing.

And let them express their own style with choice book bags, lunch sacks, and pencil cases:

It's all about following the rules, while making some of your own!
