Aveda Damage Remedy Hair Repair

I received a trio sample of the new Aveda Damage Remedy Hair Repair line. Included in the box set was a shampoo, conditioner and a leave in treatment. The shampoo/conditioner is recommended for daily use and the leave in treatment as a weekly.Key ingredients are Quinoa and Jojoba Oil.Quinoa is a great source of protein when eaten as part of your dietary habits. I tried them all out this morning so this is an early review plus the sample sizes are small so I wont be able to test it out extensively.I have to say so far I'm loving this product, the improvement to my hair was immediately visible. My hair strands felt thicker and softer than they usually do while I was shampooing in the product alone. The lather of the shampoo is was wonderful as it had a consistency of a mousse, very thick. The scent was barely there, almost like a light grain scent. The conditioner had more of a sharp citrus lime scent.I really felt a difference right out of the shower because my hair strands didn't dry as fast as they usually do as sometimes my hair lacks moisture making the ends dry up fast.I combed in the repair cream while my hair was still wet and then a little bit more when my hair dried up using it as a styling product. First there was an increase in volume,if I had to estimate a number it would be by 30%.Frizz was decreased and moisture was improved by at least 50%.It also made my hair extremely soft,it almost was too soft leaving my hair feathery.I also noticed a great shine and bounce to my curls.Your hair is left with a fresh and subtle scent. And if you want to use other styling products such as gels, hairspray or volumizers the leave in cream wont interfere with them because you hardly feel it in your hair. This will not leave your hair sticky or crunchy,it's just soft to the touch. All in all I'm satisfied and would definitely use it again. If it improved my hair by so much in a sample use I could only imagine the greater advantages with an extended use. You can opt to buy just the leave in treatment if your hair isn't that damaged but you want added repair and moisture on your split ends.If you have really dry, damaged hair you should definitely give this a try.Aveda also sent along a card for a 5x time use trial to try the products again and I'm posting the phone number listed so you can call them up and ask if samples or an offer card can be sent to you for free. That phone number is 1-800-283-0115.So there isn't anything for you to lose just to try it out. Retail for the full size Damage Remedy Shampoo is $28 for 8.5 oz.Damage Remedy Conditioner $24 for 6.7 oz. Damage Remedy Intensive Restructuring Treatment $26 4.2 oz.
