Dar Be Dar- Fashion for Freedom

Tala Raassi is a fashion designer who understands more than anyone how freedom is important for women. As a young girl in Iran she was jailed and punished to a beating for doing what most young girls take for granted, being at a party with friends to celebrate her Sweet 16th birthday, and wearing a skirt in a private home.Since then she has moved to the United States and found investors to help launch her fashion company titled Dar be Dar which means door to door in Persian. She opened her Dar be Dar boutique in a trendy neighborhood of Washington,D.C. Tala uses her design abilities to express feminine power through her sensuous collection and hopes to inspire other women who have been through the same ordeal she has.Click the link above to visit Dar be Dar website for more information and to view her collection and click here to read the story of her childhood ordeal as published in Marie Claire.
