Goddess Headbands

Venus Envy anyone...?

I've been meaning to do a post on these trendy headbands for awhile now and have always been sidetracked but I put some time aside to do it so here it is.As a Greco-Roman myself I can appreciate how these classically inspired stylish "in now" headbands or traditionally known as circlets add a touch of the ethereal Goddess to any day outfits. There available in so many styles to fit whatever type of inner goddess you might be,I'm sure if you shop around you'll find a special piece that captures your heart. Whether you want a single knotted band,a simple laurel leaf, lovely vines in a row, circling leaves or a crafted custom made intricate band, either way you are announcing the Queen has entered the room.Materials range from plastic, silver, fabric and even covered in 24 kt gold. You can find the lesser expensive styles in pharmacy's and the more sophisticated and expensive types in boutiques, fine jewelry shops and you can even have them custom made to order. Prices are according to material and I have purchased some pieces which start at $12 in fashion shops to $40 and up for custom metal pieces.I even found a cute jelly type headband for about $5.The laurel leaf genuine gold headband featured in the third photo above is from Emily Elizabeth jewelry and I believe is about $250 so the price range out there varies greatly. These are perfect for when you want to just add a hint of femininity to spruce up your otherwise drab hair while you just go out and about during the day.Whether you decide to wear your hair in a ponytail,a lovely up do or just loose and flowing you definitely will cast that "Venus" romantic lure about you.And if you want to go all out during the evening adding this hair accessory to a lovely flowing summery dress will make you feel like a Roman Goddess for sure! Celebs like Victoria Beckham pictured above is wearing a leaf headband from Eddera priced at $165 and Milla Jovovich opted to wear an Eddera band as well for her wedding day. This look has also been a top pick for brides to be as an option to a wedding veil or as the tiara piece with a veil attached so if your a bride to be consider this look on your special day. If you going to be a guest at a wedding this headband would be a wonderful accessory as well, just don't overshadow the bride! Every women should have a couple of these on hand to play up casual or dressed up hair styles that also allows an individuals unique personality shine through. So go find your inner goddess and happy shopping!
