New Redken Hair Wool Shake 08

So I was reading how Redkens new hair product Wool Shake O8 was being used backstage on the runway for fashion shows because it creates super voluminous hair without the crunch and I had to try it.I have been using it all week and love it and here's my review on it. It's a rose colored gel slush formula that gives high volume to your hair while leaving it with the soft texture of wool to the touch.You activate it by shaking it up so the gel gets more liquidity and you just spray it on dry hair and go. The key is to apply it to dry hair because it just gets stiff in your hair otherwise.Being so impatient and always towel drying my hair I attempted to use it on wet hair and it's no good because you just have to brush out the product to soften it up again which is a complete waste of time.But on dry hair it goes on better so you can style it with your fingers or better yet a styling comb used for lifting your root is also a great tool.After I sprayed it on I teased my roots with the styling comb and it let me create this sexy high volume hair styled that's perfect for going out at night. I mean it had really great thick texture, too much vavavoom for a casual day look.Very sexy bedroom hair!If you spray a little at a time you can build up thickness easier because spraying too much product all at once will make your hair strands crunchy and wet which means you just have to comb through longer to get it to a dry stage again. Initially it feels like it's sticky when your working it in but then it finishes off with a great soft to the touch feel and the scent is very fresh almost like clean linens and citrus.I checked the bottle and a key ingredient is cotton extract.It has a semi matte gloss finish and isn't high shine so it's very natural looking. You get a lot of texture with this so if you have thick hair skip it,if you have hair that's always falling flat this is perfect for adding fine thick texture with volume to your hair.I feel it works better for curlier hair types because when you apply it all over your hair not just the roots if gives you a sexy bouncy woolly look. A sexy spruced up lamb if you will.But it's made for all hair types to use.Plus it lasts all day, into night up until the early morning so your hair wont fall flat after a couple of hours. What's not so sexy is the price $18 for a 5 ounce spray bottle not to mention the bottle almost looks half way done.I was told that's because it's part gel solid and you need the room to shake it up to make it liquid. That sounds totally absurd to me as the gel didn't grow into more product but it's a salon brand and items like this get pricey. I would recommend having this on hand for those sexy evening looks and save your money for a different hair texturizer on a daily basis.If you have curls or are going for the curlier hair styles you sort of get hair like this from the photo below that I'm adding as an example,very woolly, very textured! It's a great product,keep one stashed around for those quick hair styling fixes.Available at salons or were Redken products are sold.
