Tonight is the night for the series finale! We bid Ugly Betty farewell forever...well or just until it's on the complete DVD set anyway.I have watched this show religiously since the first episode and although it was getting too cheesy and ridiculous to believe even though it's only a television show I still was loyal to it until now when it meets it's bitter end. If you ever have seen episodes of the original Ugly Betty in Spanish you would understand why I say this version tailored for us supposed savvy Americans was becoming incredulous with all the events happening to Betty's character.I mean she was getting all these hot guys falling in love with her,a dream job just thrown in her lap and high society people in desperate need of her advice...seriously ? What world was this written for? Anyhoo...Maybe that's why it fell out of popularity? They should have had this Betty remain more true to the original Betty who was always getting metaphorically slapped in the face by fate.In any case it's been a great run and there have been many loyal followers of the show like myself so I shall have my light calorie butter popcorn ready and a couple of Kleenex on hand as we say ADIEU UGLY BETTY, Adieu !Wednesday, April 14, 2010
