Here's that that review I promised on the Anew Reversalist Illuminating Eye Serum from Avon as I just finished the last bit of product. This eye care system is a dual action product with the top portion of the cap having it's own compartment that holds the illuminating veil which is a highlighter-the base of the jar holds the actual eye serum.I'm really torn with this one because I found results but couldn't bare the burning and irritation to my sensitive eyes which may be the breaking point for me not to buy this again although it's a great system for the price.Let me talk about what this eye cream is supposed to do for you-it promises results with recommended use of 2x daily to firm the skin around the eye area-reverse the dark circles under the eyes-hydrate-and instant illumination on entire eye area. The process to brighten dark circles and repair wrinkles is promised over time as it should because nothing works overnight despite some incredulous comments I read from users who says their dark spots disappeared after a couple of days. Now to my results:It was surprising for me to find that this small jar lasted about 6 weeks with daily use day & night. That is the key to seeing results you must follow the directions and stick with it.My eyes felt a firmness minutes after applying the serum which has a cream consistency but feels like a silky serum that glides on.It's that tight firm sensation you get when you have a mask on your skin and starts to dry up and you feel awkward trying to make facial gestures, that's how I noticed it was working from that firm feeling I was experiencing without any discomfort. You just need the tiniest drop to work in because of it's silkiness it spreads nicely over the entire under eye and eye lid area.It absorbs completely and gives a nice hydration without any oiliness.I don't have nay wrinkles just itty bit lines but they seem to be less visible with use.The dark circles under my eyes are not that deep but they are fairly visible because I suffer from insomnia and drink too much caffeine and I have to honestly say at first I was discouraged because I didn't see results but towards the end of the month I noticed little patches that were lightened but not the entire area.So it works but it would have to be a product you would have to use religiously for many months not just buy it once and your done, nothing is that easy when improving bad skin flaws. When your done with the serum application you just pop open the top compartment of the jar and apply the illuminating veil. This is the best part of the system-LOVE the veil! I have a thing for highlighters especially the pearly types-my entire drawers are filled with a plethora of all types of cream and powder highlighters. This very silky, creamy light pale golden pearl concoction highlights beautifully! Your eyes radiate so nicely with just the fainest wisp of a glimmer.Under really bright lighting you can see the fabulous glow your get-it really shows.Your supposed to apply it under you dark circles and all around the eye area, this is the secret to instantly making those dark circles disappear. The serum takes more time for results for the darkness to actual lighten but the highlighter is a trick to play down the dark for an instant effect. You can apply the veil whenever you need it through out the day and I felt I didn't have to because it lasts for hours but if you need a quick pick up you don't have to worry about layering too much on because the veil is so thin you have to rub it onto your fingers awhile to get it too show up.I'm sure they did that on purpose so you don't get a caked creased look.My only contention with this system is the BURN from the serum on my sensitive eyes along with minor irritation throughout the day.The burn is painful but lasts a minute after application but the irritation made my eyes tear a lot. It's too bad because I really like this system.I'm hoping Avon maybe considers selling the illuminating veil separately for those who enjoy the highlight effect,if anything it's worth to try just to get the veil. Now that I'm through testing it I have gone back to my trusted Olay eye serum that never burns or irritates me while firming my eyes.Perhaps if they rework the formula in the future I might be inclined to purchase this again.Although I just might to have another cap of the illuminating veil.If you don't suffer from eye sensitivities then this might not sting your eyes,it's definitely worth trying out.
