Dior 5 Colour Quint Smoky Crystal 089

Since I did a review on the new Dior Mystic Smoky Palette I figured I would add a review on my Dior 5 Colour Smoky Crystal 089 Palette as well.This was from Dior's 09 Collection.The 089 palette is an iridescent color quint.The size and details are the exact same as the Mystic Smoky review I posted which you can read by clicking here.The colors in this set are very iridescent-you get a very high impact sheen & sparkle with these rich silky pigments.These colors are also cool toned and have a chrome like glossy finish to them.As with the other smoky set-these shades are also not easily duped.I think I love this set more than the Mystic Smokys,the metallic silver taupe's are to die for! That brilliant silver at the bottom right is the brightest of all the shades.I forgot to mention in the other post how the colors are arranged to be worn although you can experiment with them in any way you like.The instruction leaflet has three ways it was designed for you to pair the shades perfectly.I'll list the combination below:

• 3 Color Triangle Option: Pick any 3 colors that form a triangle with each other using the lightest as the highlighter shade.
• 2 Color Shades:Pick the two shades that are directly next to each other using the center shade as the highlighter.
• Single shade look:Pick one shade for the entire eye and as an eyeliner-using the eyeliner side of the dual applicators.

This is just a great tip and suggestion not a rule so have fun coming up with your own looks.I also want to mention that these colors can be enriched by wetting the tip of the applicators for more of an impact.I swatched them for you and they are pretty much true to shade except the colors are much more rich and deeper in person than from the photo.They also last all day long,until you wash it off. It is sold out but I manged to find a source that still carries it!
