Tarina Tarantino Bibarucci Ring

I finally got my Tarina Tarantino limited edition lip gloss rings in the mail today, they were on order forever! This post is for a review on the Bibarucci Lip Gloss Ring in the collection.Tarantino was inspired by her two fave fashion icons Elio Fiorucci & Barbara Hulanicki who created iconic pieces from the disco era and 60's rock n roll decadence. She collaborated with them while creating this ring.Where to begin? Let's start with the sizing. It fits on my left hand ring finger as most standard size 7 fashion rings do although my ring size on the left ring finger is 7.5-sometimes 8. I guess they add some slack to it but it does fit very snug.If your a bigger size than that you should be able to wear it on your pinkie. The band and gloss base is a silver metal material while the upper part is a hard plastic. It's not the most fantastic quality but it doesn't look cheap either. The best part of course is the beetle print which is protected by a coating so it wont peel off.The lip gloss compartment has a mirror on the flip side while the gloss itself is glittery with a sweet taste. It has high shine although I'm not sure how long it lasts because I didn't have a chance to test it all day but all lip gloss is the same.I really wanted this ring for it's unique print and bold size which is about 1.5 inches. You can spot it on your finger from across the room.Plus I love Tarina Tarantino and try to collect her items every chance I get. This ring also comes in a nice giftable box although it is really hard to pull the ring out,it gets stuck. This is a really fun unique piece to have and the fact that it's yellow makes it great because I never can find big rings in that color.Plus the beetle print is nice, insects are highly collectible. This ring is very retro chic and I admit it's a bit pricey for a plastic ring still it's funky and glad I purchased it.I also got the Candy Cameo ring and will do a separate review.
