Profs

A visiting Professor was driving past Agnews State Hospital, on his way to Stanford University to give a lecture. Just as he was passing the hospital, his left front tire blew.
The doctor pulled to the side of the street, got out the jack and spare and went to work. He carefully put the wheel nuts in the hubcap. Suddenly, a big truck went by hit the hubcap and scattered the wheel nuts in the bushes.
He was really upset by this, as he would probably be getting late for his lecture.
There he was, crawling on his hands and knees in the bushes trying to find his wheel nuts, when one of the patients in the hospital walked over to the chain link fence, while putting a hat full of water on his head, mumbling to himself and asked the doctor what he was trying to do.
The professor described the incident fully and was getting more frustrated looking unsuccessfully for the wheel nuts.
The patient suggested that he take one nut off each of the other three wheels and mount the spare on the car with those.
Astonished, the professor said, "What a smart idea, what are you doing in this place?"
The patient replied, "I am in here because I am nuts, not stupid!"
