Our new Brazilian friends are so welcoming and hospitable. We are working out a few bumps/ very important as we prepare to go to Brazil. With a team of 20, communication can be quite a challenge. The devotional this morning was about peace, it really hit the mark. We made great connections with the children through VBS, the youth, on the sleepover, and adults through the soccer games. We are learning a bit about the culture and picking up a bit of language. The entire team has been working very hard and have done a great job. The VBS team was a bit challenging, but I think some very important lessons were learned. Some of the youth were very impacted by the presentation on Friday Night.
We are debriefing this afternoon and having a bit of well deserved rest. Please pray for energy, strength and good communication. Michael will be giving the sermon this evening, we will be sharing about Rock the River. We'll have a combination of both churches doing music, and we will be taking the children and youth during the sermon. Please pray that we all are vessels overflowing with the Holy Spirit. We'll be leaving right after the service - pray for a safe journey home. We will phone parents from Leduc.
