no color transer on balm after applied over lip color
no color transfer on napkin after one hour of outlast application
I have to say this product really lives up to it's name-CoverGirl Outlast All-Day Lipcolor really lasts all day! It doesn't come off-smudge-transfer or bleed until you take it off. The proof not only was on my lips but when I drank from a cup surprisingly enough there wasn't a trace of lipstick around the rim.So I decided to blot my lips on a napkin {using a blue napkin so the color could show up} but as you can see from the photo above not even a trace of color and this was one hour after application. The top coat that is applied over the lip color also didn't transfer any lipstick color on the clear balm which I added a photo above.Let me tell you a little about the product before typing down how you apply this.Outlast is a two-step system that lasts up to 16 hours strong & the formula is infused with botanicals of Green Tea,Vitamin E and Jojoba. There are 47 different higher chroma shades to satisfy everyone. The formula is resistant to water, foods and oils while the all day color coat dries to a flexible matrix that moves with your skin and won't flake off.The clear top coat is a wonderful vanilla flavored balm that maintains soft moisturized lips as well as the maximum wear for your lip color.I was sent a few shades but chose to sample #572 Red Affair for this post. How to use this product:You first apply the base lip color in the wand which has the consistency of a creamy gloss and you let dry for 60 seconds without pressing your lips together. Then you apply the clear topcoat over your lips and viola! your set all day-all night! I was shocked that there is absolutely no color transfer at all-not even on the clear balm. This is perfect if you don't want to think about your lipstick all day and can't stop to worry about retouching even after you eat lunch. For me the balm was the best as it's super hydrating on your lips with a nice vanilla taste to it and it's also the key to maintaining moisture on your lips because even though the color remains all day it tends to gradually matte out a bit.The top coat takes care of that problem and it feels good smoothing over your lips.If the gloss finishes first you can use the top coat as a moisturizing lip balm applied on it's own or try it over other lipstick. The balm is fabulous! The lip color formula didn't feel sticky to me but it was a little heavy so I recommend swiping a small amount on your lips because too much product will get globby. I have to warn you though-if you just want to sample a certain shade before you decide if it's the shade of choice your going to settle on for the day then it will be difficult to take off. This stuff doesn't budge. After a couple of hours I wanted to try another shade and had to use makeup remover,Vaseline and finally a napkin dabbed in olive oil to remove this from my lips! Even the swatches on my arm took forever to remove and did not completely come off until I showered.A powerful formula that fulfills it's promise to outlast regular lip color coverage but a little on the frustrating side to wipe away. If your traveling overnight and need to look refreshed on arrival to your destination-this is a sure bet as you could fall asleep and wake up with the color still on your lips. But you do need to carry the handy sized top coat balm in your purse for a few swipes at interval during the day to re-hydrate your lips because the shine on the color gradually lessens and drys out somewhat. All in all this product is great, the available color choices are for your picking and the value can't be beat. For those of you who like to sip or snack throughout the day you'll find it a convenience. Stay beautiful! XOXO
