CoverGirl & Olay Simply Ageless Corrector

Yesterday I reviewed the  CoverGirl & Olay Eye Concealer so today's review is for CoverGirl & Olay Simply Ageless Corrector which is intended for concealing the darkest discolorations under your eyes and all over face application. You should first know that this product is available in only one color choice that is Shade 230 pictured above. At first I was really disappointed when I noticed the color on the pan because I'm usually in the color family that has 00 or 01 proceeding my foundation shade and with CoverGirl the lightest color they make which compliments my skin tone is the 205 so you can understand my frustration. But after applying it to my skin I was completely shocked that it blends right into my natural skin tone without any reddish beige pigments. It's awesome! That's because this product has a special yellow intensive pigment mixed in with Olay Regenerist Serum that works to counteract and neutralize dark circles around your eyes. You can see the yellow base pigments in my swatch above but it doesn't sit like that on your skin, it blends invisibly. I just added layers so the color would come out in the camera flash. It's so hard to find yellow based skin correctors and concealers but this little pan is worth every penny and a must have in your beauty emergency kit. It should compliment the lightest to medium skin because your concealer should always be a shade lighter than your foundation. This color option doesn't seem viable with darker skin tones but as for Ethnic, Asian or Latina skin this should work because of the yellow pigmented formula. But CoverGirl does offer the Queen Collection with a variety of shades for African American skin tones. Why they don't offer one choice with this particular product for darker skin is a mystery to me because they make CoverGirl Olay Regenerist Foundation in dark color options up to a 275 shade. This formula is really great at hiding your darkest skin discolorations even under your eyes as well. It's also dermatologically tested, fragrance free, and suitable for sensitive skin. I find it perfect for spot treatment as it blends seamlessly into your skin without any caking or that "fake" cover up look. The trick is too use the tiniest hint of product. At first I rubbed a little too much on my fingers only to realize how little I really needed so I literally just barely patted my finger on the cream then tapped it gently on the imperfections that needed to be concealed. You definitely can't be heavy handed with this however it's very buildable so if you find you need a bit more on a larger scale you can gently work it up to your desired coverage. So far it has lasted up till now without any touch ups to my face. I have to say I'm really in love with this little product and it will surely last you forever because the pan is filled and only a dab will do ya! You must try this for yourself. Stay beautiful! XOXO
