VS Midnight Glamour Luminous Highlighting Powder

Every year Victoria's Secret puts out a limited edition make up holiday collection and with my highlighter obsession you know my first purchase from this set had to be the Midnight Glamour Luminous Highlighting Starlit Powder. To begin with the packaging is very pretty and more alluring than girlish from other VS compacts. Also the top of the compact is a clear diamond design mirror but it kept coming up yellowish in the photos but it's really beautiful in person. It's a very substantial, thick material and well constructed. The box has a mysterious nighttime graphic with silver glitter all over it and dark trees printed in the background. It's a lovely item to give as a gift and at a reasonable price point you can pick up a few of these. The weight is a typical seven grams giving you a fair amount of product. Now as for the highlighter itself, it's made of little star cut outs with three different shimmering pearlescent tonal shades in the pink family. Honestly though I only see two varying colors not three. Maybe the third they're referring to is the silver gleam you see when applied to your face because you don't see the silver sheen on the powder itself. When I applied this on my cheeks the color comes out very soft pink with a silvery tilt sheen. No glitter chunks or specks at all, just a pale glow. They could have made the powder a bit more creamy as I found my blush brush had to be swirled around a few times to get the desired flush to show up on my skin but it's very pretty once you get it on. You should also use a full sweeping blush brush not one with narrow bristles, the larger fluff bristles will pick up more product. You can definitely use this for a daytime look because it's subtle enough to wear everyday at the office it won't make you glow to the point where you look like you just stepped out of a club. It should work fine with every skin tone as it gives a lovely luminous glow rather than deep color. You can sweep this all across your face or just your cheekbones to contour with highlights. I swiped some around my eye bone and on my lids and love it! The formula lasts long and works great over foundation without caking your make up and no settling in fine lines. If you want a gorgeous compact at a decent price then this is a sure bet. It's limited edition and Victoria's Secret sells this out really fast! It wont last till Christmas so if you want one for yourself or need a fun stocking stuffer gift grab one! I'm hoping to try the mysterious eye palette next. Stay beautiful! XOXO
