this first costume was sacked after public outcry
the new updated costume
Here's some Friday fun news regarding the remake of the hit series Wonder Woman that originally starred the amazingly true life wonder of a woman Linda Carter. The new chick cast in this role for the upcoming CBS Wonder Woman TV Series is Adrianne Palicki and although she is beautiful enough she screams no Wonder Woman to me, no offense Adrianne... maybe because I grew up watching Linda Carter and feel she can't be replaced or maybe because in the above press photo this chick does nothing to resemble a fierce feminine Amazonian woman but rather more like a cast off from those cheesy WB11 fantasy series. She looks like she wants to beat the shizzz out of you and your mamma! Wonder Woman is supposed to be America's inspiring breath of warmth and strength, that all American Hero with a big smile to match. And I know Linda Carter can't come back and resurrect her original role but this one seems to be missing that something something Linda Carter had. I'm not even going to get into it regarding that hot mess considered the first costume that looks like they picked it up at your local Part Center costume shack!!! After public outcry of the first costume they revamped it in the second photo which still doesn't do it for me but at least the vinyl shine is gone. But what made them cut off the heels? She looks somewhat masculine with those fugly manly boots. In this mans world of entertainment they either tend to make women look sleazy or kill the feminine completely by turning an idea of a strong woman icy and frigid. Although Linda Carter had little choice back then and was not allowed to get physical or do her own stunts with the campy original series she still balanced being a strong woman while capturing the hearts of the public with a sunshine-y smile. Am I right though? Is this newbie missing something warmly alluring in her press shots? Any opinions? Stay beautiful! XOXO
If your not old enough to remember the original Wonder Woman or the television series then you probably don't get the angst of hardcore fans...
