I’ll Take This… Beach Hut

In the UK, there is not the tradition of massive tacky beach houses like we have here in the US. Instead, there are tiny beach huts, cheek by jowl, along some beaches. These little houses, which I wrote about here, reflect the creativity of their owners.

I found this sweet little beach house for sale in Devon. It’s a new build, and it seems to have been fitted together by a boat-builder, as there is a lot in this little space.shaldon quay1 This wee house manages to have room for a seating area, shaldon quay5 a tiny kitchen, a bath with a shower and a sleeping loft.

In addition, it’s got an outdoor seating areas looking over the quay, shaldon quay6 and lots of gorgeous light.shaldon quay8 However, you do have to use a ladder to get from the terrace to the beach! But it can be yours for £200,000. Details here.
