Due to technical difficulties, this post written mostly last night (Tuesday) will be posted today (Wednesday) so that should explain some of the yesterdays and todays a little better.
Today was another great day as we continue our final few days of ministry. It's hard to believe that it's been 11 days since we left Canada and that tomorrow is our last day of ministry before a day off on Thursday and flight on Friday. Today we were in another school, this one a local Junior High School. It was strange to see that a school was running in July, but since this is winter south of the Equator, the Brazilians iould rather not just have a winter break and have their large break in December-January.Even though he wasn't a student, John felt the tiring effects of being in a school from the moment he walked in. Schools here run a morning group and an afternoon group and the students stay in their classes as the teachers move from class to class. We ran a program for all 13 of the school's afternoon classes as they came 2 or three classes at a time throughout the afternoon. We sang some songs and showed them a video about Canada and another about who we are in Christ. We also had skits and several of us shared our testimonies including both Graeme, Rianna, Rachel, Laura and myself (Graham). In the evening we returned to the church to run English Cafe again. Our triplet was with the advanced group and all had conversations which kept us interested. All round we've had a great time in Brazil but we're tired so nplease bring wheelbarrows to take us from the arrivals area to the car on the way home. :D ( That was a joke for those of you who don't understand smileys ;)). But on a more serious note, please make sure to check the arrival time of the plane to know when to pick us up. We don't want to walk back home from the airport! :D
