Journey to the Cross - Victorious

The Victory

God
                                was not good
or great
But glorious,             glorious!

He was the
                                word, become
flesh,                        flesh!

God
                                in a
simple                       simple
human body!

We betrayed
                                Him and
He repayed us          with
love                          love!

The greatest
                                but worst
gift.
                                It must be
given away
                                but it
will return

Christ
                               was crucified
buried
                               and
Rose,                      Rose
            Victorious

Journey to the Cross Part 2

Here are some more Pics from the Journey to the Cross.
Along with a poem by Sophie.  It was written while she was reflecting on the Journey to the Cross and realized that Jesus is always with her and he will never leave her.  - Pretty profound :)

I do not need to see you to know

You are here.

I do not need to hear you to know

You listen to me.

I do not need any proof to know

You love me.

I just need… You.

Beginning the Journey to the Cross

On Psalm Sunday our HERD Team  set up a prayer experience called Journey to the Cross.

Be still and know that I am God

Imagine God walking in Graham Ward's sandals. - God in Flesh

Annointing - participants carried the scent of perfume with them on their journey.
My kind man walks the hill to find me;
His eyes are dark with sadness.
His eyes alight with impurity;
his voice shakes and smile cracks.
He kisses my skin;
His dry lips soft against my skin.
"The deed is done" I murmur of beyond my volition.
I am to be crucified.
