If you missed the trend alert during the Spring 2011 Runway shows here's an update on an accessory must have in your summer wardrobe this season- feather earrings. It's one of the hottest trends this year showing up on fashionable celebrity lobes everywhere. From the runway, red carpet and on the street the bird isn't the word but FEATHERS is. And this phenomena doesn't stop with the ear because feathers are a versatile accessory all around gracing gorgeous necklaces, pendants, jackets, purse trim and even shoes. If dazzle me crystals were all the rage a season back it's been replaced by feathers or at least in a close race because let's face it shine & sparkle never lose it's luster.

Rock n Roll much? Choose a pair with metal dangling hardware. I personally can attest to this because in my entire lifetime from toddler, tween, teen and up, feather accessories have always been a part of my life. On a personal note: My favorite recollection was back in junior high when girls were stabbing each other in the back to see who could wear the prettiest (and the most) feathers in their hair. Ah....childhood memories. Even thought I'm glad I managed to save a few pieces I'm certainly buying more because they are ten tines the fabulousness than they ever were back then. I managed to snag a purple pair for only $8.00 and can't wait to grab some more. Which one's will you buy?
