So during 'Sex Month' Julie Parr thought us on the basics in finding the ideal partner that you should date.
Two important things to consider 1) Who Would You Date? and 2) What Are Your Goals?
Let's take a look at
1) Who Would You Date?
Some of you might have the typical response of someone "tall, dark and handsome" or maybe "pretty blue eyed blond". However, have you thought beyond the physical attraction? Like what are the attributes you would like your partner to have- honesty, patient, caring, playful, adventurous..etc?
There are various ways to help you pen down attributes; one of them is listing it out.

Another way is mind mapping. The mind map below is an example (it has some good pointers as well to build your relationships). Your mind map need not be as complex, it's YOUR list and mind map-do it however you would like.

The next step would be question number 2
2) What Are Your Goals?
Not only in your relationship but what are your goals in life? What would you like to achieve? What would you like to be successful at? What you are envisioning would be a long term goal. This would be where the 'Line of Progression' would be VERY important and it helps you set boundaries.
If you plan to travel the world, set up your own business, play for the Oilers or maybe pursue your studies; you would not want complications to arise from an unhealthy relationship. You would not things such emotional baggage, stress, financial burden and also an unwanted pregnancy to hamper or dampen your ambitions. Learning to have respect and setting boundaries in a relationship-would mean your solution for a healthy relationship include abstaining from sex.
Hence question number (1) Who Would You Date? is very important when you're thinking about question number (2) What Are Your Goals? They are both linked much closer than you think.
You know what would be fun? If you made this a project you could do with your friends or your partner-it helps to know if you are going the same way or in the right direction. You can also always consult someone who is wiser and older than you.
