Are Tim Tebow's Days in Denver Numbered?

Let me just start off by saying John Fox is an idiot. And John Elway probably took too many hits to the head to run an organization. There ahh I can breathe easier.

So in Denver now they have a bucket filled with hope and could be at the QB position and their failure to get a decent vet in the off-season will more than likely cause a crowded bucket to burst. And it looks like the Johns don't like Mr. Tebow.

As one highly knowledgeable member of the organization told me Monday: “If everything was totally equal, and this were a competition based only on performance at this camp, Tebow would probably be the fourth-string guy. Kyle [Orton] is far and away the best, and Tebow’s way behind [Brady] Quinn too. And I’m telling you, Adam Weber is flat-out better right now.”

The QB bucket has flash in the pan Kyle Orton- got news for Denver, he'll never do what he did a couple of years ago again. Next in the bucket is Brady Quinn and I've got to tell you he is one of the most overrated QB's of all time, he is nowhere near as good as people think. Now at the bottom of this bucket is Tim Tebow and Adam Weber. Just looking at this should tell you something you have a first round draft pick with a guy nobody's ever heard of.

Taking a look at the bucket you see that both Quinn and Orton have had their respective shots and both don't have what it takes to be a consistently good quarterback in the NFL, they should both be backups. Denver by not doing anything and getting a true starter and letting Tebow develop have hurt his progress and bringing in a guy like Adam Weber and singing his praises leaves Tebow the man out.

“He threw that ball before the receiver made his cut, and it came down in the dude’s hands like, ‘Merry Christmas,’ ” Pro Bowl wideout Brandon Lloyd(notes) recalled Monday. “He’s thrown four or five passes like that in camp where it’s been like … whoa. Weber’s got personality, and he’s got some swag about him, too.”

People are going to hate Tebow just because he's Tim Tebow but they haven't given him a chance in Denver and he could end up being a really good QB one day. They say he doesn't have and NFL style of play but neither did Steve Young or Mike Vick to name a couple. Granted he doesn't have the ability to throw that they do.  But Steve Young didn't always throw like the Steve Young everyone knows and Vick is just now coming into his own as far as accuracy. These things develop.

And Tebow's got potential. He may ultimately be a "failure" at QB- but give him a chance.
