A day after dissing The Situation, the situation for clothing retailer Abercrombie & Fitch's stock is not pretty.

The stock price for Abercrombie & Fitch fell nearly 10 percent at one point on Wednesday. It was the first trading session after the clothing retailer offered "The Jersey Shore" star Michael "The Situation" Sorrentino and other members of the hit MTV reality show "substantial payment" if they stopped wearing Abercrombie-branded clothes.

Abercrombie and Fitch Offers to Pay ‘The Situation’ To Stop Wearing Its Clothes

Teen apparel retailer Abercrombie & Fitch Co. is offering to pay Michael “The Situation” Sorrentino not to wear its merchandise.

The New Albany, Ohio company released a statement Tuesday evening titled “A Win-Win Situation,” in which it stated a “deep concern” over the association between Mr. Sorrentino and the brand. A&F offered up a “substantial payment” to Mr. Sorrentino “to wear an alternate brand.”

“We understand that the show is for entertainment purposes, but believe this association is contrary to the aspirational nature of our brand, and may be distressing to many of our fans,” the statement read.

The company also extended the pay-to-not-play offer to the other Jersey Shore reality stars and said it was “urgently waiting a response.”

Pauly D Doesn't Believe the Jersey Shore Recast Rumors

As the rumors hit the web at the end of last week and over the weekend that MTV was going to Recast Jersey Shore after season 5- Pauly D says the rumors aren't true.

"I don't think it's true," said Pauly D. " I don't think you can replace us because we all have our own personalities and it's not replaceable."

While the "M.V.P." frontman believes no one is going anywhere, even referring to an MTV statement earlier in the day that said the cable network has no plans to recast the show, it's not like he would personally be short on work.

MTV to ReCast Jersey Shore

In the new issue of Us Weekly an insider says that after the Jersey Shore Season 5 wraps that will be a wrap for the current cast as well. MTV will recast the popular series that will reportedly save them a ton of money in the process. The current cast is raking in $100,000 an episode. So the current cast should be just fine, plus they will be able to pursue other opportunities.

A sober Jersey Shore in Italy?

The Jersey Shore has been hit with a list of rules from the mayor of Florence, Matteo Renzi.

The cast will not be filmed in bars and clubs that serve alcohol.

The cast will not be filmed drinking in public.

The show will not be filmed to promote Florence as a drinking town.

The show should be filmed in a manner to promote Italy (not Americans visiting Italy) and feature its culture and good food.

Additionally, the cast will not be permitted to film inside of any historic buildings, though Renzi said he could not stop them from using Florence scenery as a backdrop for the show.

So what will the show look like without binge drinking and fist pumping? Will there still be a bar fight or two?

Holy Shit! 'Jersey Shore' Stars Get Six-Figure Payday

Per episode! That's right Season 4 of the Jersey Shore will make them $100,000 per episode. Man am I in the wrong line of work. If they are casting for an Irish stereotype show I'm jumping all over that.

Not only that each season has about 13 episodes so these jackasses are banking some serious skrilla!

And while the $100,000 per episode paycheck is certainly a lot of dough, it's nothing compared to the stars' annual income from club appearances and endorsements. It's been reported that The Situation's annual income is around the $5 million range.
