George Lucas Has Gone Too Far

LucasFilm confirmed the rumors on the internet about the upcoming release of Star Wars: The Complete Saga.


What are these rumors? Oh I don't know- how about added dialogue and blinking Ewoks, blinking Ewoks for Gods sake.

Lucas is normally very good about what he decides to pull out of his neck pouch but he's probably crossed the line by messing with the classics. I was all with him when he decided to add three more Star Wars movies to kinda round out the story, it made sense. And hell even doing the animation stuff- great new stories for a new generation of fans.

But diehards are going to be pissed and if he thinks he's bigger than them he's got another thing coming. They are forming boycotts of the new Blu-Ray package and will probably have no real effect. Let's face it Lucas is bigger than the diehards and the boycotts will only include middle-aged dudes who still live at home and still thing it's real.

Criticisms about the "tinkering' with the films state that its director has "destroyed the dramatic impact of the most iconic scenes in American film history." Comments online to boycott the Blu-ray package claim that the purchase "sends a message it is okay to mess with the originals."

The 9-disc release includes all six of the films: Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace, Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones, Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith, and Star Wars: The Original Trilogy (Episodes IV - VI).

Bonus features include audio commentary from George Lucas, archival interviews with cast and crew, deleted, extended and alternate scenes, footage of costume turnarounds and concept art.

The 27-year old singer/actress stars in the upcoming comedy, "Swinging With The Finkels," as one half of a sexually stagnant couple looking for answers to their relationship drag. Her solution? She proposes to husband Martin Freeman (of UK "The Office" and "The Hobbit fame) that the two become swingers -- or, a couple that has sex with another.

In this trailer for the flick -- which has already come out in the UK -- Moore shows her new side with an especially embarrassing vibrator scene that involves Jerry Stiller. Not that any vibrator scene with Jerry Stiller wouldn't be embarrassing, but this one is especially cringe-inducing.

Steelers In 'The Dark Knight Rises'

A number of star players on the NFL's Pittsburgh Steelers will take the field as extras in Christopher Nolan's epic caped crusader finale, in a scene at their home stadium, Heinz Field. The film is using Pittsburgh as a stand-in for Gotham, and the a game featuring city's fictional football team plays into the storyline.
